(More customer reviews)As a long-time Dylan fan I was pleased to be able to buy & receive from Amazon "Bob dylan The Illustrated Biography".The 224 page book contains an extensive range of photos of Bob along with commentary.The photos range from Bobs early days to the Freewheelin & Woodstock days.A thoughtful Bob solo & also with Joan Baez.The Woodstock days are interesting,Bob with Terry Southern & John Sebastian.The family photos of Bob & Sarah Lowndes are very interesting,at this time also Bob was productve with band members such as Levon Helm (who lives & records in the Woodstock area),Robbie Robertson,Garth Hudson,Richard Manuel(now deceased) & Rick Danko(now deceased).Bobs appearence at the Concert for Bangla Desh along with George Harrisson,Ravi Shankar,Eric Clapton & others was amazing.The Rolling Thunder Review contained many talented artists - at this time Bob & Sarah had major difficulties & Renaldo & Claire appeared.The Last Waltz,the break-up of the Band & the amazing concert & film as filmed by Martin Scorsese & updated in the 2000's - some great photos of those momentous times.The book continues with great photos of what has been become known as "The Never Ending Tour".An amazing book with great photos & inspired commentary.
