(More customer reviews)I was expecting to find a fun book about rock and rollers and the drugs they take. Instead, I found nothing but a pedantic and mind-numbing series of "lists" that do nothing to inform the reader of the subject matter.
There is not one iota of original material in this book. (Gee, Paul McCartney smokes marijauna? And Keith Richards shot heroin? I am absolutely shocked and certainly never heard that one before!) You get the idea. Perhaps we can make some of this material available to first-graders, as they are the only people who will find any new information in of this book.
The author's lackluster knowledge of the subject matter is glaringly apparent. The book contains several inaccuracies and unsubstantiated rumors. The "research" that this author conducted appears to have been solely "online" and NOT at a library. That's the laziest form of research and it irks me.
The idea of drugs and rockers is an excellent (though hardly original) one. Too bad all we have is this mind-numbing drivel. I anxiously await the day when a talented writer will embark on a similar project.
